Yes yes yes, I know I haven't been able to update the logs. I am attending two classes and working full time with deadline coming up, what do you think?
However, I do have good news now. I switched back a little bit because of all the work I have to do. So now I am more like a quasi-monophasic than semi-polyphasic, I go to sleep between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., get up at 6:00 a.m. (at least trying to, ha!). I take only two naps, one around 2 p.m. and one around 10 p.m. and I feel pretty normal, with about two hours extra time. Two hours might not look that much, but that is exactly what I need to prepare for class, go to class, read text book every day and still keep my working schedule. This is pretty encouraging and now I am more willing to see if I can shorten my core sleep. But that'll be after I am done with this semester of course.
The reason that I am not taking nap every hours is actually because I discovered that it is too many naps with 4.5 hours core sleep. For like a week I keep on getting constant headaches. So I couldn't nap very well because of them. Then I though the headach came from lack of sleep during my naps, so I tried very hard to force me into sleep during the nap. But it is pretty hard and I was still getting headaches. This kept on going until one day I have to finish some assignment before the class. I felt fine around 9 a.m. and I really had to finish the assignment, so I skipped the nap instead of forcing myself to sleep. Then I found out that I don't really need that nap and my nap at 2 p.m. was very effective because I was actually tired by then. Figure that.
