Woke up at 6 a.m. but was too sleepy. I didn't want to end up like yesterday napping for 2 hours so I went back and waited until 6:40 a.m. Now I am a little bit in better shape than yesterday.
(10:14 a.m.) I think I just slept through the alarm. But according to the egg timer, I pressed it off and went back to sleep.


2:40 a.m. -- 6:40 a.m. Core sleep
9:00 a.m. -- 9:40 a.m. Slept through alarm. It is good thing that I woke up by myself.

(7:28 a.m.) Feeling very sleepy now. I think I am going to take a nap becuase I am going to be busy in meetings starting at 12 p.m. so I will miss my nap. I'll take one now and another one around 11 a.m.

It was very tough to get out of bed this morning.

(10:03 a.m.) Boy am I sleepy. I took one then another one then another and got up at 9:30 a.m. A two-hour nap! I think I need it, though, becasue of the meeting.

Very very sleepy by 5 p.m., hit the chair and fell into sleep. I was so in deep sleep that when the alarm woke me up I had no idea what time it was or where I was.


3:00 a.m. -- 6:00 a.m. Core sleep
7:30 a.m. -- 9:30 a.m. Long long nap
5:00 p.m. -- 5:30 p.m. Deep nap
9:00 p.m. -- 9:30 p.m. In vain
12:30 a.m. -- 1:00 a.m. Slept. Still very sleepy. Don't know if I can stay until 3 a.m.

Slept between 2:20 a.m. to 6:20 a.m. I wanted to stay up until 3:00 a.m. but was just too sleepy. I think the reason is that I missed the 1 a.m. nap. I need to figure out a way to keep myself up, and reading a technical book doesn't work. Maybe it is a good time for all those novels I want to read.

Try this when you are very sleepy and it is pretty funny: Lie in the bed, and pay attention to yourself as if you are trying to find out how exactly your are going to fall asleep. If you pay attention, you'll dwell in this sleep and awake mode. In one hand, you are really sleepy and on the ohter hand you are paying attention to this sleepiness, which makes you awake. Of course, once you lose your focus, you'll fall asleep right away without even knowing it.



2:20 a.m. -- 6:20 a.m. Core sleep
9:00 a.m. -- 9:35 a.m. Napped. (9 o'clock has been pretty good for me these days)
1:10 p.m. -- 1:40 p.m. Slept. I felt kind of sleepy and tense this morning until after the 1 p.m. nap.

Watched "Insider" last night and passed bedtime for an hour. I drank some starbucks coffee that my roomate bought from groceray store and that actually kept me awake. I always though those were just like sodas. Went to be at 4 a.m. and couldn't sleep until 4:40 a.m. I think I probably fell asleep at 5 a.m. Got up at 7:30. I really wanted to wait for another ten minutes but I was afraid that I would miss the alarm again.

The "Insider" is really a good story.


4:00 a.m. -- 7:30 a.m. Couldn't sleep at the beginning, probably because of the coffee and that didn't go to bed on time.
9:00 a.m. -- 9:30 a.m. Good
1:20 p.m. -- 1:50 p.m. Good. I thought I couldn't go sleep but I did eventually.
5:00 p.m. -- 5:30 p.m. Slept in the end
9:20 p.m. -- 9:50 p.m. Slept in the end
1:00 a.m. nap missed.

Getting up was not easy even after an almost 5 hour core sleep. I managed it at 6:30 a.m., 30 minutes after the alarm went off. You know when you are doing this, sometimes you just cannot help thinking that this is such a stupid idea.

1:20 p.m. -- 1:50 p.m. Slep
4:45 p.m. -- 5:20 p.m. Not able to sleep

12:30 a.m -- 1:00 a.m. Slept at the end

Slip, slip, slip. I don't know why I have having so many slips these days. And the problem is that I don't even remember that I shut the alarm off. This morning I woke up by myself at around 6:00 a.m., after I went to bed at 3:15 a.m., almost three hours. I didn't want to get up immediately so just waited in bed for the alarm, which was supposed to go off at 6:30 a.m. And the next thing I knew was that I woke up at 11 a.m. I tested the alarm clock, and it was still pretty loud.

I need to watch out more. I'll skip the 1 a.m. nap and see if I can put myself on schedule.

The only good thing is that I slept for only 8 hours even when I slipped.
